[11-2008] Interview with Ran Kirlian at Sonic Inmersion
Bert Strolenberg
does an interview with Ran
Kirlian at Sonic Inmersion, his website dedicated to electronic
music. During the interview, I answer to questions regarding
to my music, The Blue_Room studio and about
my current and future projects.
A few pictures of me at The Blue_Room illustrate the interview,
where part of the gear are visible in the current studio room
(not blue btw).
[8-2008] - Atmosfear
Another real-time
recording is now online with it's own video, this time mixing
images from recording session with some infrared captures
I did some time ago. Recorded on sunday, june 15 2008 at The
BlueRoom by Ran Kirlian.
Story behind the video:
I use to like to visit desertic and abandoned places. One
evening I was taking pictures in a place where nobody was
except me while, suddenly, a strange kid appeared and wanted
me to follow him to a place where he said there was something
important buried I must discover. After some minutes walking
in silent, we arrived to an old ruined school and then, he
asked me to cross a door to find his friends but not to look
at the right door, because there was the bad teacher room...
Synths:
- Korg MS2000: noise waves
- Oberheim OB12: big space pads
- Alesis Micron: filter pads
- Sounds like voices, bells, storms & other strange noises
added on final mix.
Lumina Frontier
is, again, a real-time improvisation performed and recorded
on may 1 2008 at The BlueRoom, done only
with a Korg TR61 and no post edition.
All images from NASA found at internet.
Video edition & effects done with Sony Vegas.

Diaspora,
a real-time improvisation performed and recorded on sunday
feb 17 2008 at The BlueRoom. The video also
includes scenes of sunshines and cloud storms recorded by
myself from a window of my home. This is my first attempt
to record a video around my music, so excuse me if it looks
too amateur.
As it can be seen on the video, this is part of BlueRoom
studio. Among the synths there, the ones I play for the track
are: Access Indigo Redback, Access Indigo, Waldorf Microwave
XT, Roland JP-8080. Tribal groove shoot via computer while
recording the session. More information about my gear and
more synthesizer facts can be found on my blog Celiar
Structures.
