During the global Lockdown caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, I recorded a series of live sessions that were released on YouTube and on Bandcamp in the form of three albums, The Quarantine Sessions volumes I, II and III.
Now, on the fifth anniversary of the tragic global event and that creative process, I've compiled eight hours of music in this new release, including the remastered original recordings, previously unreleased material recorded at the time, and a brand-new album based on recycled material from those sessions.
Like most people during the Covid-19 Lockdown, I spent my time anxiously watching the pandemic evolution on the news, looking out the window and seeing the city streets empty of movement, noiseless, free of urban pollution, and having a social life limited to my wife, my son, and my cats, beyond electronic communications. With the creation of these live recordings, I experienced a kind of mental , physical and spiritual liberation from a unique situation, confined to my home and surrounded by a global threat. The creative process of this music kept me calm, busy and happy.
